Business case and roadmap to certification
Typically, our roadmaps to achieve certification are designed in four phases around the following activities and outcomes: 1) Scoping & mobilisation 2) Awareness & knowledge transfer 3) Workshops & implementation 4) third-party assessment & certification. At this stage, to keep things simple, we can illustrate the above in a concise one-page document.

Business Benefits.
Standards, certification, testing, inspection and accreditation (collectively known as the Quality Infrastructure) help businesses of all sizes and sectors to reduce costs, limit their environmental impact, improve quality, access new market opportunities, and differentiate themselves from competitors.
We can direct you to numerous case studies, research papers, and supporting materials that confirm these benefits for the business community.
UK Quality Infrastructure.
The UKQI comprises four long-established and exceptionally strong institutions which oversee standardization, testing and measurement, and certification and accreditation in the UK:
BSI - The British Standards Institution.
NMRO – The National Measurement and Regulation Office.
NPL – The National Physical Laboratory.
UKAS – The United Kingdom Accreditation Service.
International network on Quality Infrastructure.
The network recently agreed on the definition of quality infrastructure system as-
“The system comprising the organizations (public and private) together with the policies, relevant legal and regulatory framework, and practices needed to support and enhance the quality, safety and environmental soundness of goods, services and processes”.
The new definition expands the scope of quality infrastructure and is expected to create additional benefits for stakeholders including its use as a foundation for sustainable development.
Quality infrastructure is required for the effective operation of domestic markets, and its international recognition is important to facilitate access to foreign markets. Past estimates by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) demonstrate that standards and related conformity assessment have an impact on 80% of the world’s trade in commodities. Furthermore, quality infrastructure is a key enabler for realising Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's). Contact us for information and ideas on how to realise the SDG's.
